CONFINEMENT

things i've done for the past four months when karunaksara went dormant:

kalau diberikan pilihan lari ke hutan atau belok ke pantai, saya pilih hutan dalam sekejap. batas warna langit dan laut terlalu kabur dibandingkan kontras langit biru di atas hijau pepohonan. matahari juga bisa belajar bersinar dengan rendah hati di antara dahan-dahan pohon; ia mau menghormati tingginya gunung tempat akar-akar hutan beristirahat.

last july i went to lombok; a short escape with complete members of my family. we were there when the first earthquake occured. thank god we were all fine. sadly, the island went through worse days later.

i'm keeping my memory of lombok as a beautiful, peaceful, tiny gem of an island.

from when the sun stands

till it rests

may lombok heal in peace.
